Jose covered Seattle Sounders FC for the Seattle Times from the club’s beginning in 2007 to February 2010, and enjoyed every minute of it. He spent 10 years as a staff writer for the Times’ sports department, with seven seasons as the Seattle Seahawks beat writer.
Now living in Phoenix, he writes for Soccer by Ives, SB Nation Arizona, and does freelance work for the Associated Press and Arizona Republic. He also reviews Mexican restaurants in Phoenix for Examiner.com.
